The new review/perspective article by Prof. Canbeyli presents a bottom-up model on the modulation of mood and clinical depression. Published in the European Journal of Neuroscience (EJN), the article (Sensory stimulation via the visual, auditory, olfactory and gustatory systems can modulate mood and depression) suggests that "combined use of multisensory stimulation may have synergistic ameliorative effects on depressive symptoms over and above what has so far been documented for unisensory stimulation".

Our new Turkish edited volume (Experimental Approaches to Cognitive and Behavioral Processes in Psychology / Psikolojide Bilişsel ve Davranışsal Süreçlere Deneysel Yaklaşımlar) portrays the theoretical and methodological variety of contemporary experimental psychology. It offers 6 chapters ranging from epigenetics to social cognition together with a preface that offers a beautiful excursion to the history of psychology.
Cem and Ege were successful in their 2209/A (Research Support Programme for Undergraduate Students) application to the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK). Their project is titled “the antidepressant properties of chronic oral ketamine application on male Wistar rats under stress”.
